1. absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement.
2. lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.
3. freedom from emotion of any kind.

Democracy:

• government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

The Political system in the UK (among many other European countries) is suffering. Apathy is destroying any sense of democracy left in the country.
